Life Nugs

Intro: Facing Fear Through Roller Coaster Goals

Dear unborn future offspring,

I’m just going to be honest – life is pretty fudgetastically weird.

When people compare life to “being like a rollercoaster ride”, they’re right. There are the beautiful highs with the scenic views and the heart-thrust-into-gut spirals that shock your system so fiercely, you can’t fathom surviving long enough to make it around the next curve. Some times the train does go off the track, and at points there may actually be some casualties. But 99% of the time, it’s when you actually sit back and trust the experience that you’re left with the most exhilarating memories.

It’s ironic though – relaxing in the face of fear. Life is a dueling battle between the easy and the elevated. But, think about it – has anyone over the age of 3 ever stepped off the kiddy coaster and been like, “Wow. Mind blown. Life altered.” ?

I think my life has been kind of a kiddy coaster ride so far, and I’m challenging 2019 to be a life-altering experiment. So, I’m going to take the ideas that terrify my soul the most, and hopefully force myself to accomplish them, because, honestly, who else is going to hold the gun to my head *PC disclaimer: totally figurative…that means, not intended for realistic interpretation*?

So, dear future offspring, this is my first blog post (and step) towards living a more Roller Coaster life <3

‘Til next time, mon petit chou <3
